Betty Jo Lyon

Betty was born on October 2, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee and worked as a computer programmer for Seabrook Wall Coverings. She enjoyed playing golf, dancing, gardening canning and most of all her family.

She was preceded in death by her son Dale Lyon.; brothers, Clifford Hannah, David Hannah, John Hannah and one sister, Lucille Walker. Betty is survived by her children, Betty Jo Douglas, Rick Lyon (Tammie) ; daughter-in-law Deborah Lyon; sisters, Peggy Killam (Jim), Gwen Story, Rachel Bray, Bunny Daly (Mike), grandchildren, Sean Scott, Robert Scott, Joey Scott, Nathan Lyon, Lauren Phillips, Kimberly Lyon, Crystal Coleman, Casey Agner, Christy Embry and Donna Poston. Twenty-three great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN 38133. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh-LaGrange Rd., Memphis, TN 38134.
