Betty Jane Porter, 77, of Memphis, passed away December 15, 2011 at Baptist Trinity Hospice House. Born in Greenfield, Tennessee, she was employed for many years at international Harvester. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Edna Holt; her husband, Forest Eugene Porter; and a sister, Nancy Clements. Survivors include a son, Terry Stan Porter; a sister, Patricia Liggett; and two grandchildren, Ethan Porter and Paige Porter. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, with funeral services Monday at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, formerly Memory Hill Gardens.
