Billy Graham Wallis, 85, passed away peacefully into the night holding the hands of his beloved family on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. He retired from Firestone in 1997 after 41 years to pursue a career as a fulltime grandfather or “Dado” as he was more popularly known. He was an avid sportsman, and golfer; however, his greatest passion was music which always included pickin’ his 1948 Gibson J-50. It was this passion of music that led him to meeting the love of his life, Joan Wallis, at Bond Music Co. in 1954. He is preceded in death by his father Jack W. Wallis, mother Myrtis G. Wallis, and his daughter Elizabeth Anne Wallis who was lost at birth. In addition to his loving wife of 66 years, Joan G. Wallis, he leaves behind his beloved daughter, Wynne Williams; his one-and-only grandson, Jordan Williams; brother Jack B. Wallis, of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of family and friends. He was a lifelong member of Bellevue Baptist Church and served his Savior faithfully until his final moments on this Earth. The family will receive friends in the Pollard Chapel at Bellevue Baptist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with a service occurring immediately after at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made out to Love Worth Finding to continue the work of spreading the Gospel.
