Bobby Gene Shelby

He was born to the late Robert Paul Shelby and Hallie Watson Shelby on April 25th, 1933 in Sikeston, Missouri. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his 10 siblings.

Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan Shelby; his three sons, Steven Shelby (Vickie) of New Orleans, LA, Wesley Shelby (Esther) of Collierville, TN, David Shelby (Sherri) of Bartlett, TN; five grandsons, Matt Morat (Melissa), Jason Morat, Patrick Shelby (Sarah), Nick Shelby, Brayden Shelby (Ellie); two granddaughters, Heather Shelby Choquette (Jacques), Charli Shelby Gonder (Morgan); seven great-grandchildren, Madison Morat, Parker Morat, Mackenzy Choquette, Amelia Choquette, Liam Shelby, Anniston Shelby, Maggie Gonder; one sister, Joy Shelby; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please make memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the charity of your choice.

Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday, March 2nd at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00pm.
