Carolyn, the daughter of Thomas & Elizabeth Humphreys, spent most of her life in Memphis, TN. She was a graduate of Central High School and spent her working life at Choctaw, Memphis Botanic Gardens and Hope Presbyterian Church. She married and spent her years as a devoted wife and mother.
Carolyn was a longtime member of Raleigh Baptist/Bartlett Hills Church and later Hope Church. Her Christian faith was the key to how she lived her life. She believed in prayer and fully celebrated her relationship with Christ. After losing her husband, she relied heavily on the love and companionship of her close friends, children, sister, niece and her beloved pup, Scruffy.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her Husband, James Morton, Sister Sheila Bryant, and Brother Johnny Humphreys. She is survived by her children, Charles (Deneen) Harrison, Denise (Jason) Harrison, Beth (Jerry) McCaskill, grandchildren Ayden & Eden Harrison, Will, Jackson & Grace McCaskill, great-niece Eryn Harden, and many beloved friends.
Carolyn’s family celebrates her life is now free of pain and confusion. She’s fully healed and in the arms of Jesus. Her services will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on N. Germantown Parkway at 10 am with visitation beginning an hour before.
