Carolyn Ann Overton

Carolyn Ann (Kraus) Overton, 70, born in Los Angeles, CA on January 20, 1949, passed away at her home in Cordova, TN on Friday evening, September 13, 2019, after having bravely fought ovarian cancer for nearly 10 years. Her devoted husband, Phillip, was by her side the moment she ascended to heaven.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Kraus.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Phillip Overton; children, Scott Aronson (daughter-in-law, Talin Aintablian Aronson), Jeremy Aronson, and Carrie (Aronson) Sosa (son-in-law, Antonio); grandchildren, Mason and Cameron Hackmann (Carrie Sosa); mother, Alice Kraus; sisters, Monica (Kraus) Clydesdale (brother-in-law, Bob), Andrea (Kraus) Pfeiler (brother-in-law, Topper) and Denise Kraus; brothers, Jerry (sister-in-law, Rhea) and James Kraus; step-children, Anna Maria Reese and Phillip Overton, Jr.; and extended family.

The family invites all those that knew, were touched by, and loved our beloved Carolyn—who spent her life as a faithful servant of Our Lord, Jesus Christ—to attend a viewing at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Pkwy, Memphis, TN 38133.
