Catherine Y. Mars, 79, of Cordova , passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011. She was a member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ and was retired from the Harding School of Theology. Mrs. Mars, the wife of Charles W. Mars for 51 years, is also survived by one daughter, Donna C. Mars of Memphis; two sons and daughters in law, David and Christy Mars of Germantown and Brent and Jan Mars of Collierville; a brother, Johnny Young of Dukedom, TN; and five grandchildren, Katie, Natalie, Jackson, Sam and Zach. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, September 25 from 6-9 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home on Monday, September 26 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens.
