He was born to the late Clayton Spahr, Sr. and Leona Spahr on September 2, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Markowitz and his brother, James Hoots.
Chief Spahr is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Yvonne Spahr; his children, Terri Saenz (Felix), Clayton Gerald Spahr, III (Alexa), Nicole Aufdenkamp (Ned); grandchildren, Derick Underwood, Dana Underwood, RJ Saenz (Maddie), Cameron Saenz (Ashley), Logan Saenz, James Clayton Spahr, Anna Leigh Spahr, Abel Aufdenkamp, Ayden Aufdenkamp; great-grandchildren, Bella, Brody, Wyatt, and Caden.
In lieu of flowers, donations are to be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project or to the Tunnel to Towers in Jerry's memoriam.
Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, February 17 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. A celebration of Chief’s life will follow at 2:00pm.
