

He was preceded in death by Great Grandmothers: Thelma Carlson and Marilee Smith; Grandfather Kenneth Koehler; Grandmothers: Margaret Koehler and Evelyn Carlson; and Aunt Cathy Flanagan.
Clint is survived by his very loving parents, Kathy and Bobby Carlson; Grandfather Richard Carlson of Ellendale, Tennessee; Great Uncle Elmer Koehler of Dallas, Texas; Aunts and Uncles: Carla and Dick Carlson of Burns, Wyoming; Laurie and Stephen Michael of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Lynn and Brent Bickel of Superior, Colorado; Uncle Eric Koehler of San Diego, California; and many loving cousins.
Clint was born in Memphis, Tennessee on May 3, 1991. Clint was born with pulmonary hypertension at Methodist North Hospital and had to be flown by helicopter and placed on a heart and lung bypass machine at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital shortly after his beautiful birth. He remained at LeBonheur for three months before he was medically well enough to finally go home with his parents.
About a month after his birth, Clint’s parents learned that Clint had a rare Chromosome 18 abnormality called Chromosome 18 q minus deletion. Because of this Chromosome 18 abnormality, Clint had a large number of medical issues that led to 25 surgeries,
23 hospitalizations and countless doctor appointments and emergency room visits.
Throughout his lifelong challenges, Clint always exhibited endless and unwavering courage, strength, bravery and determination.
Even though Clint had many struggles filled with unbearable pain, Clint always remained a genuinely happy and loving boy.
Clint faithfully taught those around him what REAL love and happiness truly meant.
Clint graciously touched the hearts, lives, spirits and souls of so many people like only an Angel could do!
People’s lives who were so blessedly touched by Clint are now enriched eternally from his love, happiness, courage, bravery, strength and determination!!!
Clint truly loved playing with his enormous amount of toys. Clint was constantly going from one toy to another and crawling from room to room in his house.
Clint always enjoyed listening to his many music CDs and gazing at the multicolored lights of his Christmas tree which was a permanent fixture in his house.
He delighted in listening to his Daddy play the harmonica for him and in listening to the different train whistles that his Daddy recorded on DVDs for him.
Clint adored the times that his Mommy would sit him on her lap and sing to him. Clint’s Mommy even made him a CD with her singing his favorite songs on it so that he would always have the opportunity to listen to his Mommy’s songs even when she was not at home.
Clint had a smile of glowing sunshine that would absolutely brighten people’s spirits and hearts.
Clint’s radiant blue eyes would quickly show his unconditional love for his fellow man or woman.
Clint’s sweet and silly laughter always brought beautiful music to his Mommy and Daddy’s ears!
Clint’s unique noises while happily playing with his favorite toys would immediately elicit huge smiles from his Mommy and Daddy!
Clint attended Shrine School for the Handicapped in Memphis, Tennessee for 17 years. Clint was recently having lots of fun riding horses in a therapeutic riding program at the charming Trinity Farm in Lakeland, Tennessee.
Clint lived a very simple life but one that was forever full of happiness and love!!!!!!!
Clint’s family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, May 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home GERMANTOWN located at 3700 North Germantown Parkway. Clint’s Funeral/Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, May 31st at 10.00 a.m. also at Memphis Funeral Home GERMANTOWN.
Clint’s burial will be immediately following his service at Memphis Memory Gardens located at 6444 Raleigh LaGrange Road. THERE WILL BE DOVES RELEASED AT THE GRAVESITE!
