Cynthia Valentine Horton, age 45, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. Cynthia was born April 23, 1976 to Philip and Selby Horton in Peoria, Il. She was adventurous, she loved animals, children, and fishing. Cynthia was an avid reader who enjoyed anything she could get her hands on. She was creative, enjoyed cooking, making mosaics, and knitting for others. Cynthia loved her family and her extended family. She was loyal to her friends and would help anyway she could in their times of need. She was witty and had opinions about everything that added color to every conversation.
Cynthia is survived by her parents; Philip and Selby Horton, her sister, Jacqueline Majors (Christopher Garner), her brother, Philip Horton IV, her nieces and nephews, her life partner, Reginald Thomas Larkins, and a host of family and friends.
A visitation for Cynthia will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
Cynthia was a protector of animals and would have adopted every stray she found into her home.
