Donald Gene Jenkins, 79, of Lakeland, TN peacefully passed away on June 4, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Jenkins loved working on cars, tending his horses, and most importantly, being with his family. He rejoins his parents, Leeman Jenkins and Opal Galvin; his sisters, Betty Price and Jackie Duffie, his brother, William Jenkins, and his granddaughter, Cynthia Roberts. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Eva Jenkins; his daughter, Donna Barrett (Dalton); his son, Jeffrey Jenkins (Sherri); his sisters, Dean Sullinger (Dale) and Judy Jackson (Gonzales); his grandchildren, Jamie, Jonathan, Justin, Joshua, and Seth; as well as his great-granddaughter, Layla. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Mr. Jenkins’ honor to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.
