Donald F. Rowe

Donald F. Rowe, 78, of Cordova, TN, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Don was raised in S.E. Kansas and attended Wichita State University. He was an accountant for Wichita Mattress and material estimator for Boeing in Wichita, KS. He then worked for Vickers Petroleum in Wichita, KS, Des Moines, IA, and Memphis, TN. Around 1983, Don went to work for Lonestar Ready Mix and retired in 2009. Don lived a full and wonderful life of traveling, dancing, playing golf & pickleball, and enjoying family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Leola Rowe, his brother, Eldon Rowe, and his grandson, Tyler Ellard.

Don is survived by his wife of 56 years Jo Ann Rowe, his children, Greg Rowe (Debbie) and Tammy Ellard, his grandchildren Tabetha Rowe (Chase) and Donald Rowe (Kerry), and great-granddaughter, Ava Rowe. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Connie Lincicum, a niece, two nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. The funeral service will be held Friday, November 10, 2017, with entombment follow. All will occur at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
