Dorothy Ann Piretti

Dorothy Ann Piretti, 72, of Cordova passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was born November 4, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late, William and Dorothy Teague of Whiteville, Tennessee. Dot was a graduate of Overton High School and the University of Memphis and retired from the accounting department at APL. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She married Dennis Johnson and had three sons, Timothy Ryan, Brian Kevin and Keith Brandon. She loved each of her sons dearly and raised them as a single mother to the best of her abilities, never missing a game, a performance, or special occasion. She married Charles Piretti later in her life, who preceded her in death. She is preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Teague; and is survived by her sons, Tim Johnson (Liz) of Memphis, Brian Johnson (Teresa) of Germantown and Keith Johnson (Mandi) of Germantown; her grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Spencer Johnson, Campbell Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Julia Johnson, James Johnson and Olivia Johnson; sister-in- law, Rita Teague of Richland, Texas, and her beloved dog, Tina. The family is grateful for the care and friendship of Meg Tarkington and the countless friends who provided love and support to Dot. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Bellevue Baptist Church-Pollard Chapel, 2000 Appling Road, Cordova, Tennessee, with the interment to follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
