Earl Michael "Mike" Braun

EARL MICHAEL “Mike” BRAUN, age 62, went to be with the Lord on June 16, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family as God took him to his eternal home after an extended illness. Mr. Braun, a longtime resident of Arlington, TN, was born October 13, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl T. Braun and Sybil Stafford Allen and a brother, Robert Braun. Mr. Braun was a veteran and served his county in the USAF from February 1970 through August of 1973. He served with the USAF security police and US Security Service and spent time in Thailand, San Antonio, TX and Plattsburgh, NY. Mr. Braun retired from City of Bartlett in June of 2000 where he was a supervisor in the Water Department. He was employed there for 15 years. He received his education in Memphis City Schools and was a graduate of Kingsbury High School and also continued his education at University of Memphis. Mr. Braun was married December 15, 1978 to the former Cynthia Childers, who survives him. He is also survived by his daughter, Kera Baker (Ryan) of Brighton, TN; his son, Kyle Steven Braun of Cordova, and his five grand-children, Codi, Michael, Katelyn, Karly and Chanlor, and his sister, Barbara Key of Arkansas. Mr. Braun was a Christian with a special love for his grand-children. He will be remembered for tireless devotion to his wife, children, grand-children and his community and country.
