

Emily Bush Farmer, 92, an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church, went to be with her Lord and Savior January 11, 2014. She loved Jesus with all her heart and demonstrated her love by years of faithful service. Emily was a volunteer at her church library until she was 91 and also did volunteer work for several years at Love Worth Finding Ministries. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK to Ernest and Ella Bush. Emily met and married Archie Lee Farmer while they were attending Oklahoma Baptist University. She and her husband Arch founded NuWay Products Co. of West Memphis, AR in 1957 and managed the company until their retirement in 1988. Emily is survived by two daughters, Faye Davis of Birmingham, AL, Paula Miller (Dr. Steve Miller) of Southaven, MS, and son, Phillip Farmer (Glenda) of Memphis. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Ed Hamilton of Oklahoma City, a sister-in-law, Lois Farmer of Odessa, TX, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Arch, her grandson Jeff Davis, and son-in-law Dr. Glenn Davis. Emily actively shared her faith, for her greatest desire was that everyone would come to know Jesus Christ personally. Service will be at Bellevue Baptist Church chapel on Appling Road at 3 p.m. with visitation at 1:30 on Wednesday, January 15. Burial with be at West TN Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Love Worth Finding, or Bellevue Baptist Church.
