Am so sorry to hear of your loss.  I remember being in Mrs. McKeever's Jr. Fellowship group with Drew at Frayser Christian Church.  Some Sunday nights we were the only 2 in attendance.  Praying for peace and comfort for the Hadfield family.   

I loved Drew almost all of my life. As Janice’s sister, I grew up with Drew. He was funny, incredibly talented, and above all, loving and kind. He will be missed. Bless him. He is entertaining those in heaven with good stories, I feel sure. 

Sorry, to hear of Drew's passing.  Always a nice guy.  We, too, enjoyed the White Boys' BBQ and all the fun.

I have always loved my Hadfield cousins and I am so sorry Drew is no longer with us.  I am sending lots of hugs to you all.  Drew will be missed deeply!!

He was born the same year that myself, Debbie and Betsy were born. Our grandmother Hadfield had four grandchildren that year. His family would come visit our family in Florida and we would do the same in Memphis. After Drew retired he decided to travel for a bit and then moved to Florida. He stayed with me when he first came and then settled in New Smyrna Beach, Fl. He LOVED NSB and everything it offered. We would get together on weekends and at other times. When my grandson was in high school and on the swim team Drew came to every swim meet for New Smyrna Beach and captured every win, loss etc. my grandson did. He gave him a CD of his high school swim meets of everything he filmed. Such an unselfish man. He was a super cousin and friend. We sure will miss you, Drew. 

Even though I had known of Drew through my dear friend Kelly for quite a few years.  I really got to know him and the rest of the Hadfields through the Memphis in May BBQ cooking contest and then a year later really got to know him when he resurrected Whiteboys BBQ cooking team, a name given to their family bbq team in the first years of the Memphis in May BBQ contest.  He always enjoyed cooking for his friends and welcomed all company.  He entertained everybody brave and fun enough to join in from as close as down the street to the other side of the Equator in Australia.  He treated everyone the same no matter age,  race, religion, or social status.  He always had a smile and comments that made you laugh until your sides hurt.  He was quiet but always intelligent and witty and a joy to be around.  He wasn't the center of attention but was always setting the stage for those who want to be.  He was one of the most creative and brilliant people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  I will miss you so much, Drew.  I love each of you Hadfields and consider you to be one of the most treasured families in my village.
