Frank Thomas Riley was born in Memphis on August 24TH ,1957 to George and Maxine Riley and went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 20th , 2025 with his wife at his side. Frank attended grade school at Brighton Elementary School and graduated proudly as a Brighton High School Cardinal. Afterwards, Frank continued his education and studied business at the University of Memphis.
Preceded in death, Frank joins his parents George and Maxine Riley, a son, Jonathan Thomas Riley and grandson, Adam Lucas Riley. Frank spoke often about a joyous time where he looked forward to a time when he would be reunited with his heavenly family.
A lifelong Memphian, Frank was known to be kind, generous, and spirited. An avid University of Tennessee Volunteer, Frank always anxiously awaited the yearly football and basketball lineup. Life at the Riley house was always exciting and loud during the fall, winter, and spring. Whether SEC or National Championships, March Madness, the Combines or the NFL draft, Frank stayed glued to the sports network. Frank also had a love for gardening and landscaping, having owned his own landscaping business at one time in his life.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by friends and family as he awaits the day when he will again be joined with his wife, Sally Utley Riley, son, Andrew Taylor Riley (Katie), daughter, Molly Riley Rook, and daughter-in-law, Susanne McAdams Riley. Frank and Sally share six grandchildren: Bella Elyse Riley, Hudson Thomas Riley, Jonathan McAdams Riley, Adam Lucas Riley (our sweet Heavenly Angel), Beatrice Eleanor Rook, and the long awaited, most recent addition, Johnathon Lucas ‘John Luke’ Riley.
