Frank E. Underwood 83, passed away at Baptist Reynolds Hospice House on January 19, 2020. He was born in Memphis, TN, where attended Humes High School. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from The Department of Defense after serving 35 years. While employed with the Government he was fortunate enough to be sent to Bermuda on a three year assignment. After his retirement, he worked part time at Target and Kroger. Mr. Underwood was also a member of Bellevue Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Avent. Frank is survived by his wife Betty of 50 years, daughters; Karen Underwood of Oakland, TN, Kathy Stojanovic (Robert) of Bartlett, TN, his son, Scott Underwood (Fran) of Arlington, TN, five grandchildren; Dillon Stojanovic, Ashley Stojanovic, Elizabeth Stojanovic, Brandon Underwood (Kristina), Chelsea Lawson (Michael), and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8pm, on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, with a funeral service to be held at 10am, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
Any memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
