Oakland – Henry E. Maddox, 72, of Oakland, TN passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Friday, January 11, 2013. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years Dorene; a son, Derek Maddox of Dayton, OH; a daughter, Deborah Maddox Mosley also of Oakland; and five grandchildren, as well as brothers Phillip, Dewayne, and Roy Maddox and sister, Norma Benefield. He was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Bessie Maddox of Memphis, TN, and one brother and one sister. He retired from Ryerson Metals in 2000. He was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church serving as a nursery worker, Sunday School teacher, summer camp counselor, and member of the Family of Friends Sunday School class. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Family of Friends Mission Fund at Bellevue Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation will be on Monday, January 14 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. and a funeral on Tuesday at 10am.
