I'm sadden to learn of Jim's passing away, but have many fond memories of him. He was one of my brother Bob Larson's best friends growing up in Bayfield. As such, he spent lots of time at our house where we all enjoyed his company and his one-of-a-kind personality and sense of humor. Sadly for me, I didn't get to see Jim much after he left Bayfield, but the memories of the time spent while we were all growing up will never be forgotten. Jim was a special person to our family. God bless Jim's family and his memory.

I was saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. I don’t believe I have seen him since graduation (1965)! He never came back for our reunions, and we all missed him. But he is alive in my memories...what a character! His mom was a teacher of mine, his home will always, in my mind, be the Nourse Sugarbush home. We went to the same church..., good family and good people! “Jimmy Nourse, heaven gained a great angel!” Sincere condolences to his family and friends.....

I was sorry to hear of Jim’s passing.  He was one of the class of ‘65,Bayfield High School. We all were a great bunch! His mom, Holly, was my English teacher, too.
You included so many wonderful pictures. That house will always be the Nourse house in my mind, and their sugarbush.

What a wonderful tribute.   I remember Jims parents.  They were such great people.  Marv taught school and had great memories of the Nourse kids.

When we all were elementary school age and our family was visiting from Minnesota, I remember Jim putting a toad in our bed in Robbye ‘s room. He was a jokester for sure!
When we were older Jim and I made some berry wine and hid it in their basement. We never did get back together to taste it.
My husband Rick and I had the pleasure of visiting Jim and Dorothy in Tennessee and ate some of Jim’s taste bbq. 
I remember Jim as a fun and loving cousin who was a joy to be around.

Jim was a very helpful colleague and very well knowledgeable engineer. For every electronic design problem or production issue he always had a quick and effective solution. He could diagnose and fix any of our products within few minutes.

He loved Indian food and was always ready to try any food items that i brought to work. Also, would visit Indian cultural festival at Memphis every year and try the Indian cuisines. 

Jim had great heart and was wiling to help his colleagues at any time. Our Bodine team will sorely miss his presence. 


So many wonderful memories of our times with all of you in Memphis. We loved you then; we love you now.

Jim was a great colleague and brilliant engineer.   We (mainly Rob Sumner, another colleague) called him "The Professor" because he  was a wealth of knowledge, could always be counted on to help solve the most difficult problems, and, of course, the hair.  He had a good heart and was willing to help all who needed it.   He was a true professional and will be sorely missed.
