Janet Ann Slover, age 67, of Olive Branch, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022, due to complications with Muscular Dystrophy. Janet was born July 23, 1954 to the late Bill and Maxine Trusty in Memphis, TN. Janet and Steve Slover were wed on April 4, 1986, and spent 36 years enjoying a wonderful life together. Janet was retired from the University of Memphis Law School. Janet was an avid University of Memphis sports fan, a NASCAR enthusiast and a collector of lighthouse models and memorabilia. She was a member of Balmoral Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Growing up she was a member of Oakville Memorial Baptist Church.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Steve Slover; her daughter Meredith Wilson (Gus); her sister Sandra McNinch (Rick) and her sister Donna Bell (Dewayne).
She is also survived by a large extended family across Tennessee and Mississippi.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and older sister.
A visitation for Janet will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
