Joe Byrd Johnson, Sr., 73, of Bartlett, passed away on June 16, 2015 at Methodist Hospice House. He was a native of Valdosta, GA. and a longtime resident of Bartlett. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie and Freeman Johnson. He is survived by his four children: Joe Johnson, Jr., Tammy (Rick) Bell, Rande (Sharon) Johnson, and Cindy Smith, six grandchildren, Harleigh, Ricky, Rande Matthew, Montana, Isaiah, and Bridget, and four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Caden, Kasch Carter, and Charlotte Rose. Mr. Johnson was a manager and longtime employee of Winn-Dixie in Jacksonville, FL. and later a sales rep. for Kimberly Clark in Winston Salem, NC. and Memphis, TN. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend loved by all. There will be a memorial service on Saturday, June 20th at 5pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, Tn. 38133.
