John Charles Carey, 62, of Bartlett, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. He was a programmer with Auto Zone, a member of Great Oaks Church of Christ and was active in prison ministry. Mr. Carey, the husband of Jane R. Carey, also leaves a daughter, Julia Carey; two sons, Alex and Vladimir Carey, all of Bartlett; a sister, Esther Yates of War Trace, TN and a brother, Loren Carey of Lenoir City, TN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert James Carey. A celebration of Mr. Carey’s life will be at 11 a.m., Friday morning, July 11 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
