John Thomas Starnes

John Thomas Starnes, age 81, passed away December 25, 2020. He was born September 15, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee to Thomas Claude Starnes and Ruby Clara Evans Starnes. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Shirley Madigan and Wayne Starnes. He is survived by his wife of 60 1/2 years, Barbara Howell Starnes; children, David Shane Starnes (Susan) of Arlington, Tennessee, Brenda Elaine Starnes of Denver, Colorado, and Belinda Jane Starnes of Cordova, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ryan John Reasons of Englewood, Colorado, Christopher Kyle Starnes of Arlington, Tennessee, Rebecca Elizabeth Starnes of Arlington, Tennessee, and Reed Banion Reasons of Collierville, Tennessee; and brother, Larry Starnes of Millington, Tennessee.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 30 from 9:00 AM until funeral services at 10:00 AM, all at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. The funeral services will be livestreamed via DignityMemorial.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
