Jon William Drysdale

Jon W. Drysdale, 83, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010. He was born in Weakley County, TN to the late Robert Binford and Bessie Ruth Templeton Drysdale, was a US veteran of both the Army and Navy, graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and was retired from the National Cotton Council. Mr. Drysdale was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Millie Tyson Drysdale and is survived by his four children, Jon (Dolly) Drysdale, Jr. of Woodstock, GA, Vickie R. Daily of Westminster, MD, Lisa ( Heinz) Stefanzick of Woodinville, WA and Joy D. (Kenneth) Ham of Richland, WA; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Tabitha, Lydia, Josiah, Caleb, Jada, Elijah, Levi, Gideon, Bill, Jeff, Julian, Gabrielle, Colby, Malinda and Marshall; and great grandchildren, Connor and Liam. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Elton Drysdale. The family will receive friends, this evening, Tuesday, April 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 14 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden, TN. A short visitation will be from 3-4 p.m. that afternoon at Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden prior to the interment. Memorial gifts may be made to Macular Degeneration Research.
