Jupy Kathrine Knauff

Jupy Kathrine Knauff, 79, passed away on November 21, 2020 at Methodist Germantown Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1941 in Enville, TN to James Dexter and Millie (Adams), Essary and was the youngest of 12 children. After graduating in 1960 from Chester County High School she moved to Memphis, TN, and began working at Sears, where she would retire after 40 years with them. In March of 1965 she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Eldon Knauff and they spent 36 years together until he died in 2001. Jupy was a member of the Preceptor Gamma Sorority of Beta Sigma Phi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 9 siblings. Jupy is survived by her son, Link Knauff, her step-sons, Jim Knauff, and Pete Knauff, one sister Margie Essary, one brother Houston Essary, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 pm until service time at 2 pm, on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
