Jerry Wayne Hunt passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 25, 2022. In life he wore many hats working at Banks Electric, being a firefighter for the city of Memphis and as a job superintendent at GSB Contractors. However the hat that he loved wearing the most was that of being a huge fan of the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He loved watching and supporting all sports but always “Hail State!”
He was preceded in death by his grandparents WW and Pauline Mills and Ira and Mittie Hunt. He is survived by his parents Jerry and Linda Hunt, his sisters Belinda Hunt and Kim Porter (Brian), nieces Abby and Erin Porter, and nephew Connor Hunt, as well as 11 cousins of which he was the only male.
A gathering of family and friends for Jerry will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
