Lawrence Reeves Oliver

Lawrence Reeves Oliver of Munford, Tennessee, passed away on December 3, 2016; he was 102. Mr. Oliver was previously deceased by his loving wife of seventy-three years, Mrs. Orene Oliver. He is survived by his daughters, Patte Cotner and Mary Anne Oliver, his son-in-law, Tommy Smith, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Oliver strived to live every day by the principles found in Micah 6:8. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Oliver was very proud of his military service and was honored to be able to have served his country. He was an employee of the United States Postal Service for over thirty years and a member of Boulevard Baptist Church, where he met his wife, for seventy-five years. Mr. Oliver loved his family and was loved by his family more than anything in the world. Mr. Oliver's family will receive guests on Thursday morning, December 8 beginning at nine o'clock immediately followed by funeral services at ten o'clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133.
