Mark D. Buckman

Mark Daniel Buckman, age 59, passed away on October 26, 2013. He was born in Madelia, MN on March 16, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and June Buckman and his brother, Joe Buckman. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Gayle Buckman, son Joseph Buckman, grandson, Perrin Buckman, sister, Nancy Barnes, and brother, Steven Buckman. He graduated from Bartlett High School and received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Christian Brothers University and a M.B.A from the University of Memphis. He worked most of his career at Buckman Laboratories, a specialty chemical company. He lived a peaceful life as an avid reader, sailor, and traveler. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed. His Celebration of Life service will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Saturday, November 2 at 10 a.m. with a brief visitation beginning at 9:30. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the American Lung Association.
