Mary Vandergrift Byars

She was born to the late William and Mary Vandergrift on June 20, 1931 in Memphis, Tennessee. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Jesse Byars and her brothers, William and Arnold Vandergrift.

Mary is survived by her children, Delynn Byars, Brenda Smith, Kenny Byars (Glenda); 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Lillian Hadley (David); and 2 granddogs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Midsouth Therapy Dogs and Friends.

Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday, May 26 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm.
