Maxine Joyner, 95, passed into eternal life on Saturday, October 15, 2022. She was born in Hackleburg, AL on March 14, 1927. She was a member of Woodlawn Terrace and Grace Baptist Church. She was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics for over 60 years. Her joys included reading, spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking. One of her greatest loves was that of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, Guy Joyner, Sr., four brothers, and a sister. She has one surviving brother Jimmy Robinson of Hackleburg, and is survived by her three children, Judy Jennings, Beverly Carroll (John), Guy Joyner, Jr. (Natalie), four grandchildren; Kimberly Lewis, Cody Carroll, Emily Joyner, Julie Anne Joyner, two great grandchildren; Jessica Presley (Drew) and Kelsey Frith (Mike), three great great grandchildren, Easton Frith, Oaklee Frith, Loria Presley, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends for Maxine will be held Friday, October 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A celebration of life service will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Forest Hill East Cemetery, 2440 Whitten Rd, Memphis, TN 38133.
