Melba Charlene Dunavant

Melba Charlene Dunavant, 84, passed away from this life on September 17, 2022 and entered heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born in Memphis Tennessee to Howard Jeff Bailey and Gladys Ora Whitworth Bailey. She retired from several years in house cleaning business. Charlene was a longtime member at Mullins Station Baptist Church. She was a loving wife to her husband Johnny Wayne Dunavant for 55 years and 9 months. Charlene was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was a great homemaker who loved to cook and sew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Howard Jeff Bailey, Jr. and James Richard Bailey, sons, Terry Wayne Clark, Waymon Dale Clark and daughter Deanna Lynn Dunavant-Bullington. She left to cherish her memories by her husband Johnny Dunavant, grandchildren; Michael Clark, Rachel Parker, Leanna Nevin, Christopher Clark, Whitney Paige Bullington and Amanda Nicole Bullington. Seven great grandchildren, a host of nephews and nieces and a special niece Carol who was a great help and comfort during her failing health in her later years.
