Mike was my very first love. Sweethearts in 7th and 8th grade. Gosh, how he made me laugh. WHo can forget him puttine underwear on his dog and letting him trapse around Lake Windemere??? What a hoot???  He could get you in more trouble for laughing in class than anyone I know. God must have needed some laughter in heaven and knew who to call. You shall always have a piece of my heart, Mike. Rest in Peace.

Mike was my best friend.Hardly a day goes by with-out thinking of him and a smile comes to my face. So many crazy times we had.I miss you already.Haaang on sloopy.

Mike was a great neighbor of ours for many years.  I’ll always remember all the fun we had growing up around Lake Windermere and going to school at Raleigh-Egypt High School.  I remember seeing him not too long ago at the Edward’s house on Lakewood Dr. assisting them with a problem.  He was always very kind and helpful. We will all miss him.  I express my deepest sympathy to his family, friends, and neighbors.

Mike Lockwood was one of my first best friends. We met in 1960, when I was 4yrs old and he was 6. He was my neighbor 2 houses down, in Lakewood Hills subdivision. We started our first band, with Mike on Drums, Louis Edwards on Guitar, and me on Maracas, in 1968, and called our band ‘Tut‘. We later added Jeff Robinson on Bass. We played at Swimming Pool Parties in the neighborhood, and had a great time growing up together, going to Coleman Elementary & Raleigh Egypt High School. He was a good person, who I always looked up to, with great respect. I will look forward to seeing him in Heaven. “God Bless You My Friend Mike.”

Mike grew up in the same neighborhood as I did, and he and Louis Edwards and Jeff Robinson were good friends as they grew up.  Mike was always so funny and made everyone laugh.  His parents and his sisters Becky and Pam were wonderful people too.   We then attended the same high school, and Mike came to a couple of our reunions, and the last in 2003.  What a great guy!  We will all sadly miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family.  Mike was a good soul of good humor and did great favors for many good friends of mine.  He will always be remembered and cherished for his kind acts and sharp wit.

My condolences to Mike's family. I certainly remember Mike from Miss Theodore's seventh grade class. She had her hands full with him! He was such a comedian. Our whole class loved him and the way he made us laugh and drove Sophie crazy! RIP TUT!!! God is going to love having you with him!

The laughter that Mike brought to each of our lives will live on.  My prayer are with all of his family and friends that were touched by him.

We both will always remember Mike as being a very friendly, outgoing and fun guy.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.  Sad to see another Pharoah pass.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.  May your memories bring you comfort.

I first remember Mike from 4th grade at Coleman Elementary School in Raleigh. I think all the girls thought he was cute. He was best friends with Louis Edwards through our elementary & high school years. But Mike & Louis had a band around 7th grade. We both grew up in Lake Windermere in Raleigh. Lots of childhood memories!
To his family, please know I have been and will be interceding for you all in prayer.

I remember Mike "Tutt" as being funny all the time.  He was such a friendly guy.  It's really sad to loose someone at our age.  I know his family will miss his smile and laughter.  Sounds as though he suffered for awhile before going to Heaven.  It's always hard for those left behind to figure out what to do.  Mike is fine and pain free.  I pray as time passes the pain of his death will not be so painful and the laughter he brought so many will be the first thing you remember.
