

Mildred Sisk, 94, passed away at Tallahatchie General Hospital in Charleston, Mississippi on July 15, 2016. She leaves her three children, Walter Sisk, Jr and Marcy Keith of Pope, Mississippi and Pamela Coburn (Kimball Coburn) of Claremont, CA. She leaves twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved fishing, gardening, playing cards and dominoes, and most of all, enjoyed her time with her family from near and far. She served in the Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Women as a local, district, and conference officer. She also served in the UMW of Courtland, MS.
Mrs. Sisk was fun with a contagious laugh that brought joy to all. She was compassionate and caring, touching the hearts of many. She lived humbly, but was rich in faith. After graduating from hospice twice, she now rests in peace.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22 at two o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at two o’clock at Courtland United Methodist Church, 198 E Railroad Ave, Courtland, MS 38620.
