Peggy Joyce Thigpun

Peggy Joyce Thigpun, age 77, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away January 22, 2021. She was born October 30, 1943 in Corinth, Mississippi to James Arlie Tanner and Gracie Marie Austin Tanner. She graduated from Tech High School.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James William Thigpun; son, James William Thigpun, Jr. (Michelle); daughters, Kristi Calderon (Alex) and Jennifer Maino; brothers, James Tanner (Gail) and Ronald Tanner (sister-in-love, Garnet); sister, Dorothy Taylor (Roy); grandchildren, Brett Thigpun, Zachary Calderon (Taylor), Kaci Calderon, Cayson Maino, Griffin Maino, Karis Maino, Mylan Maino, and Addison Maino; and one great-granddaughter on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Ogletree; and grandson, Cody Thigpun.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 29 from 1:00-2:00 PM and funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133. The family requests any memorial donations be directed to the American Cancer Society.
