

Philip Eugene Brewer, 55, of Cordova, TN, passed away Saturday, August 26th, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett. He worked for the Shelby County Office of Code Enforcement. He was a graduate of Germantown High School and Memphis State University with a degree in civil engineering. During his late teens and early 20’s he worked for the Memphis Chicks Baseball Organization. He served on active duty in the Army as well as being an Army reservists and member of the Army National Guard. He was a member of Hope Church where he faithfully served as a conehead, deacon, small group leader and a member of the Hands of Hope puppet ministry. He also served as a board member of the Berryhill Homeowners Association. He was preceded in death by his parental and maternal grandparents and his father and mother, Charles Eugene Brewer and Ruth Brewer Fischer. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife and best friend, Laura Camp-Brewer, the joys of his life, son Kirby Eugene Brewer and his daughter Natalie Elizabeth Brewer, his aunts, Lanelle Moffitt, Jo Mavis Belcher, and Beverly Herriman, along with many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2017, beginning at 1pm followed by a funeral service at 3pm, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Jeremiah 29:11 Campaign at Hope Church, 8500 Walnut Grove rd. Cordova, TN 38018
