She was born to Quinton and Westelle Olds on August 17, 1942. In December of 1969, she married the love of her life, Ray James. Ray and Priscilla went on to have two children, Jenny James (deceased) and Jason James.
Priscilla devoted her life to her family and was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin……you name it, she was there. Speaking of names, she was known by multiple aliases: Priscilla, Kitty, Sissy, Kay, Sis, and maybe even more. Whatever you called her though, you could always count on her to lend an ear when you spoke and offer kind words and encouragement in return.
She was one of the finest southern cooks, though plagued by a sweet tooth. One of her favorite sayings was: Life is short, eat dessert first! She oftentimes took her own advice. Whether it was fried chicken, turnip greens, catfish, beans and cornbread, a casserole, or a fresh baked pie---it was guaranteed to be fantastic. She loved to cook, really loved to eat, but really, really just loved to feed those that she cared for.
Food and family aside, faith also played a huge role in her life. Kitty/Sissy/Kay/Sis was a devout Southern Baptist and lifelong student/adherent of God’s teachings. While her body and her health may have ultimately forsaken her, her faith in the Lord did not.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter. She is survived by her son Jason (wife Rita) and three grandchildren: Josephine, Vivienne, and Rowan. She is already dearly missed.
