Reece T. Williams

Reece T. Williams, 93, of Memphis passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Ave Maria Nursing Home. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division serving during World War II, a member of Eastside Baptist Church, was the first president of the Trade Union / Refrigeration Service Engineer Society and remained in that position for several years and loved wood working. Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife, Lucy Williams; son, Tolbert Williams of Water Valley, MS; grandchildren, Lynette, Christine and Sara; great- grandchildren, Shiler, Rebekah, Andrew, Landon and Thomas; great-great grandchild, Braylie; and was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Avent Willliams, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2014 and a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2014 both at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
