Richard C. “Dick” Allred, 81, of Memphis passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at his residence. He was a member of Local Steamfitters # 614 and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the infantry during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Allred was preceded in death by his wife, Doris S. Allred; brother, Delbert Allred; and is survived by his daughter and her husband, Cathy and Alan Mitchell of Woodstock, GA; son, Rick Allred of Memphis; grandchildren, Jenna Mollman of Orlando, FL and Alex Mitchell of Woodstock, GA; and a sister, Delores Fielden of Palm Bay, FL. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., Bartlett, TN with a graveside service to follow at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to the Church Health Center, 1210 Peabody Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104.
