Richard Clinton Buzzard

Richard C. Buzzard, 74, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on June 9, 2016. Mr. Buzzard was the loving husband of Cleo Buzzard for forty years. He was a retired supervisor at US Air. He was a long time member of Leawood Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher and was involved in the bus ministry; he was also a member of Gideon’s International for over twenty years. He was a hardworking, generous man that was a faithful example to those he mentored. His friends would describe him as caring and reliable and he was known for loving his Sunday School class. Mr. Buzzard enjoyed playing golf and watching sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood S. and Waonda Buzzard; sister, Tonia Conley Harris and he is survived by his wife, Cleo Buzzard; brother; Charles Buzzard. He also leaves his children, Deanna Carothers (Lee), Terri Stafford (Glenn), Christopher Buzzard, David Sprouse (Cathy), Carol Pope (Rick), Danny Camp (Bonnie), Jimmy Camp (Pat), Harry Camp (Wanda), and Joey Camp, sixteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12 from four until six o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. Funeral services will be at Leawood Baptist Church, 3638 Macon Road, Memphis, TN on Monday, June 13 at ten o’clock with internment following at Memorial Gardens in Bartlett.
