Robert Lee Taylor, Sr.

Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, a great friend, and a successful business man who will be missed by all who loved him. He loved the Lord and was a devout Christian.

He was born to the late George Lee and Mary Lou Townsend-Taylor on March 15, 1958 in Ruleville, Mississippi. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashlee Nicole Taylor and his siblings, J.V. Randle, Dorothy Smith, Virgie Faulkner, L.A. Taylor, Silver Jean Taylor, Emma Townsend, Frank Ford, and Roberta Carlvin.

Robert is survived by his wife of 14 years, Linda Taylor; his children, Robert Lee Austin, Sr. (Artesha), Tamika Scott (Danello), Timothy Taylor, Reginald Riser, Jarvis Riser (Naquasha); grandchildren, Shania Austin, Tracy Austin, Robert Austin, Jr., Alayla Austin, Daylon Wilkins, Derrick Johnson, TaKeria Mayes, Giselle Riser, Emery Riser, De'Onte Mayes, DeTarius Harris, ; great-grandchildren, Klohe Harris, Austyn Austin; his brothers, Danny Lee Taylor, Henry Taylor, Albert Taylor, Jerry Taylor; sisters, Georgia Turner, Dorthy Gordon, Gloria Jean Taylor, Silver Jean Taylor, Elnora Taylor, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, November 12th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will be at 10:00am on Saturday, November 13th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN.
