Sally Kathleen Franklin passed away November 8, 2016, at the age of 63. Sally was born in Brawley, Calif., on March 17, 1953. She had made her home in Bartlett, Tenn. following the death of her husband, Eldon "Gene" Eugene Franklin, in February of this year. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ethel Miller, of Carterville, Mo. She is survived by her loving children and grandchildren. Son, Stan Franklin, and grandsons, Miller Frankin and Macyn Franklin, of Snowqualmie, Wash.; daughter, Lori Starr and husband, Kent, of Bartlett, grandchildren, Carsyn Starr and Jackson Starr; sister, April Tyler and husband, Steve, of Carterville; brother, Mark Miller and wife, Ilene, Granby, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews will miss their 'Aunt Sally'. Sally chose to work part-time outside the home, so she could be a full-time mother and wife. Warm chocolate chip cookies after school for the kids, and coffee and dinner for the family. During their 45 years of marriage, they raised the children in the Carl Junction School District, and at MSSU. Together, Sally and Gene owned and operated a successful business, Gene's Midwest Auto, in Joplin. Sally's favorite job was "Mom", and later grandma. Her joy in life was her family, after the children married and left home, they loved spending evenings binge watching hours and hours of "Gunsmoke". Gene left first, and then she joined him, as she always did. Now they are together again . . . Forever and for Always. Amen -
