Sally was born on November 10, 1940 to Sara and Ralph Gill in Memphis, TN. After Sally graduated from Bartlett High School in 1958, she went on to study nursing at Baptist College of Nursing. After graduating Sally enjoyed a long career as a psychiatric nurse and enjoyed helping others anyway she could after her retirement.
Sally and her husband, H. Glenn Watson (1939 – 2008) were married in 1963, and raised two children, Michael Watson and Tammye Patrick in the home they purchased in 1964.
She was an avid runner, and won many events. She also enjoyed biking and hiked in South Africa and at the Grand Canyon. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and was a common sight walking her beloved dog Shelby around the neighborhood. Sally was a member of Gracepoint Baptist Church.
Sally was predeceased by her parents, Sara and Ralph Gill, and her brother Warren Gill. She is survived by her children, Michael Watson and Tammye Patrick (Michael), her grandchildren, Meagan Patrick and Andrew Patrick, and her sister, Glenda Gill and extended family.
Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133 on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at 1:00 with service to follow at 2:00.
