Sally leaves two sons and two daughters: John R. Williams, Jr. (Kathy) of Lakeland, Becky Stanley (Paul) of Rosemark, Wayne Williams of (Lisa) of Bolton and Judy James (Johnny) of Rosemark. She has 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Sally was born in Memphis and worked at Sears Crosstown in the Catalog Department. In 1965, she started Sally’s Beauty Shop in her home after finishing Cosmetology School. At 43, she went back to school earning an Associate’s Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree, and two Master’s Degrees – one in teaching and one in counseling in addition to 30 post-graduate hours. She taught Cosmetology at Raleigh Egypt High School, Memphis City Schools. She also served as a counselor at Memphis Technical High School. She was VICA Leader and enjoyed taking her students to Nashville for state competitions. She completed her career as a Career Ladder Evaluator for the State of Tennessee.
She retired 2 days after her husband retired. They enjoyed 17 years of retirement together traveling all over the United States in their camper! They loved going fishing. Celebrating birthdays and holidays with family was always a special time for them. Sally has many hobbies including, quilting, crocheting, reading, writing a cookbook, writing about family history, scrapbooking and working out daily at the local YMCA.

A visitation for Sally will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Friday, September 16, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
