Sam "Campie" Hudson

He was born on May 12, 1957 in Charlottesville, VA. His parents Sue Holley Coiner and Samuel C. Hudson II preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Nicholas Allen Hudson of Bartlett, TN., two step-daughters, Heather Shappley of Statesboro, GA. and Stephanie Garo of Bartlett, TN., two sisters, Kim Sand of Chandler, TX. and Pamela L. Coiner of Cocoa Beach, FL. He also leaves behind a fiancée, Sonya Campbell of Millington, Tn.

He was a native Virginian, retired Chief Petty Officer from the US Navy and he was employed with Fed Ex for 13 years as a senior AMT.

He loved and treasured his maternal grandmother Audrey Payne Holley of Louisa County, VA. He lived with her from an early age; she was a devoted and loving grandmother to him until her passing.

He was a devoted and loving father. He embraced life and enjoyed his fellow co-workers, his biking buddies and his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, who are spread around the country. He always brought joy, love and concern to others. We will greatly miss the joy he brought to our daily lives.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 23 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. and a funeral on Wednesday at 9am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
