

She was the daughter of Coy Lee and Juanita Marrs Keathley. Born in Dyer, TN on January 21, 1942, she attended Dyer High School and graduated in 1960. She was a farmer’s daughter all her years in the New Bethlehem community. Sandra went to Memphis State University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1963. She earned a Master of Science from Radford University in 1982. Sandra’s first job was teaching high school English Literature in Memphis before transitioning to the business world. While in Memphis she met the love of her life, Carl Thweatt. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage. While adapting to various jobs, and moving, they raised two girls before finally settling in South Haven, Michigan where they owned and managed National Appliance Parts Company. Sandra has two patents in her name for appliance heater applications. She enjoyed gardening and travel with her husband.Sandra is survived by cherished husband, Carl Thweatt, and children and grandchildren, Tamara Thweatt Berners, John Berners, Carlynn and Benjamin Berners, Amber Purohit, Sumit Purohit, Daelen and Kelsen Purohit. The Funeral Service at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens will be February 4th, 2018 at 2:00PM with a visitation held an hour prior. A memorial Service to be held later in South Haven, Michigan at Hope Reformed Church.
