

Helen Weakley, 82, of Memphis, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis. Mrs. Weakley was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved being with and caring for her children and grandchildren.She was born in Murray City, TN the daughter of Charlie and Gladys Tomlinson. She graduated from Halls High School class of 1946. She had numerous jobs after raising her children one of which was retired teachers assistant for Memphis City Schools at Grandview Elementary School. She was also the Miss WMC 1st Runner Up in 1950. Mrs. Weakley is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jack Weakley; her four children, Ken Weakley, Russell Weakley both of Memphis, Tim & Carol Weakley of Knoxville, and Patti & Reggie Case of Arlington; her seven grandchildren, Nina Weakley, Gina Burns, Lauren Weakley, Zachary Weakley, Katherine Weakley, Dalton Case, and Dylan Case; and 4 great grandchildren, Sadie, Christopher, Blake and Ethan; and her sister, Annette & George Evans. She was preceded in death by her brother, Aaron Tomlinson; and her sister, Gwendolia Scallions.She was a member of Scenic Hills Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 5 – 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memphis Memory Gardens.
