Shannon Bret Southern, age 51, of Cordova, Tennessee went to be home with the Lord on Sunday March 17, 2019 at home with family. Shannon was born November 26, 1967 in Osceola, Arkansas to Cliff and Pam Southern.
Shannon attended First Assembly of God in Cordova, and he was a man who loved his family and his work. He was a top salesman at Conway Services. Shannon earned many trips and awards for his talent as a salesman. He was also an avid Arkansas Razorback fan as well as a fan of the Memphis Grizzles and Tigers, and he was a movie buff. He was a talented musician who could play the guitar and trumpet. He loved to travel and cook for his family.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Juanita Callins; paternal grandparents, Earvin and Inez Southern.
Shannon leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 19 years, Donna Southern; Seven children, Krystal Gammel (Dewayne), Edward Caruso Jr., Kourtney Powers (Blake), Joshua Caruso, Skyla Pate (Landon), Emily Martinez (Nick), and Cayelin Southern; Siblings, Chad Southern (Brigitte), Michelle McDaniel (Lance); Maternal grandfather, Joe Callins; 11 grandchildren' 5 nieces and nephews, who he dearly loved.
Per Shannon's request, if you wish to send flowers, he has requested all white flowers. If you prefer to make a memorial contribution, those can be made in Shannons memory to the Melanoma Research Foundation, www.melanoma.org
The family will gather to receive friends, Friday, March 22, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, with a catered reception to follow.
