

Stuart Wilson Clark, 88, passed away on February 22, 2011 at home in the Village at Germantown, Germantown, Tennessee. He was born on January 20, 1923 in Lincoln, Nebraska and grew up in Ponca City, Oklahoma where he met and married Marcena Pfeiffer. He and Marcena had four childen, Bill (Mary) Clark of Loganville, GA, Chris (Debbie) Clark of Somerville, TN, the late Jean Clark of Byhalia, MS, and Gail Brand of Rochelle, TX. In addition to Marcena and three of their children, he is survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Wilson was in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII as a P-38 fighter pilot assigned to the Italian theater. Following his military service, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He had a 39 year career with Shell Oil company and retired in 1986 in Houston, TX. He and Marcena relocated to Germantown in 2006 to be near two of their children. Wilson and Marcena celebrated 63 years of marriage on September 13. He is loved and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Wilson Clark will be remembered in a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 26 at the Village at Germantown, 7820 Walking Horse Circle, Germantown, TN. Visitation with the family will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association .
