

Thomas H. Terrell, May 1, 1956-August 14, 2011, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, died after a long, hard fight with cancer. Thomas was a senior officer with Fed Ex Corporate Security. He previously worked at Graceland and at the old Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was an avid reader and lifelong scholar. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis with a double major in English and History. He loved his dog Rico. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, range practice and learning new skills. He was a plumber, mechanic, locksmith and tree-trimmer. He was known for his gentle, loving spirit, his willingness to help others and to share of himself, and his skills. He went beyond the duties of his job, wherever he worked, to do what needed to be done. He will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Terrell, his niece Erin Franklin, and his dog Rico. He leaves his mother, Mary Terrell, a sister Elizabeth Terrell, a sister Nancy Maller and her husband Michael, a brother George Terrell and his wife Deb.
Visitation will be this afternoon Wednesday, August 17, at 2:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Garden, 3700 Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN 38133. The memorial service will be Wednesday, August 17, at 7:00 p.m. at the same location. In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial gifts to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, U.T.
